Tetra butyl ammonium bromide (TBAB or Tetrabutylammonium bromide) is a quaternary ammonium salt with the chemical formula (C₄H₉)4NBr. It is a white crystalline solid, soluble in water and polar organic solvents. TBAB is commonly used as a phase transfer catalyst in organic synthesis, particularly in reactions involving the transfer of ions between immiscible phases.
